CGIAR
The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and its research centers conduct high-quality international agricultural research in order to reduce poverty and hunger, improve human health and nutrition and enhance ecosystem resilience. The work of AGRA and the CGIAR is complementary, in developing and disseminating important agricultural technologies that focus on Africa's challenging conditions. These range from improved seed varieties of African staple crops to innovations for improving soil health. AGRA's extensive local and national networks, work with the private sector, and policy work can help ensure that all such innovations reach many more farmers.
