NEPAD/CAADP
The African Union’s New Economic Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and its Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) provides a broad framework for African agricultural development. Through CAADP, African governments have committed to dedicate 10 percent of their annual national budgets to agriculture, with the goal of achieving six percent annual growth in agricultural productivity. AGRA aligns its work with the CAADP framework and supports the political will it embodies.
